Primary Care Data: Join the conversation with consumers and clinicians
Webinar at 12.30pm AEDT Monday 11 November. Click here to Register
The Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) is working with the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) to promote consumer and community awareness and confidence about important new work the AIHW is progressing on developing a National Primary Health Care Data Asset. It is envisaged that the Data Asset will support a better understanding of what happens to patients in the primary health care system – including their diagnoses, treatments and outcomes by bringing together various sources of primary health care data over time. It would contribute to developing a range of improvements in patient health outcomes including comparisons across geography and socio-economic gradients and enabling and informing integrated care.
To continue the consumer and community conversation about this significant development, CHF and AIHW are holding our second webinar which you are invited to join online. The webinar will focus on the potential benefits of the Data Asset and will feature a panel of knowledgeable consumers and clinicians chaired by CHF CEO Leanne Wells.
AIHW is the leading health and welfare statistics agency in Australia and its vision is to provide stronger evidence (data and information) for better decisions and improved health and welfare. You can learn more about the data asset at consultation.aihw.gov.au
Panel participants will be:
Leanne Wells, CEO of CHF who will chair/facilitate the session
Michael Frost, head AIHW Data Asset project
Jen Morris, consumer health advocate, Melbourne
Elizabeth Carrigan, CEO Australian Pain Management Association
Dr Jan Radford or Dr Charlotte Hespe
