The launch was followed by a workshop from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Partnership Centre for Health System Sustainability and the Australian Institute for Health Innovation from Macquarie University.

Workshop on Implementation Science in Health Care

Research is a powerful tool that can make a real difference in healthcare. Ensuring important findings gain traction in the real world is key to enabling dynamic, evidence-based healthcare. Professor Jeffery Braithwaite, Founding Director of the Australian Institute of Health Innovation at Macquarie University, is a leader in health services and systems research with global reach.

This workshop covers the concepts of implementation science, sometimes described as the way to ensure a good idea gets put into practice.

It is the scientific study of methods to promote the systemic uptake of research findings and other evidence-based practices into routine practice, and hence, to improve the quality and effectiveness of health services.

The workshop was led by a team of researchers including Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite and Prof Frances Rapport, A/Prof Yvonne Zurynski and Gaston Arnolda from Macquarie University.

There was opportunity to ask questions during the webinar.
