Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people living with pain, their families and carers, and to minimise the social and economic burden of pain on individuals and the community. We advocate for improved health policy and practice; we promote access to education and training for health professionals; and we work to raise awareness of chronic pain within the community through media and education campaigns, to help reduce the stigma of this silent epidemic.
Parkinson’s Australia represents over 70000 Australians living with Parkinson’s Disease through advocating their needs and interests to all levels of government. Our member organisations provide direct support to people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers. We also seek improved funding for services, research and awareness raising to improve the quality of life of these people. RVA is Australia's national organisation advocating for those who live with a rare disease. RVA provides a strong common voice to promote for health policy and a healthcare system that works for those with rare diseases.
