Expression of Interest

CHF is looking for six consumers to participate in an online focus group with the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) to shape their Consumer Insights Strategy.

As the largest representative body for the nation's pharmacists, the PSA wants to hear your thoughts on the future roles pharmacists could play in the health and care system.

There are emerging opportunities for pharmacists to enhance patient care in areas such as primary health, digital health and self-care. Your insights will influence the PSA’s policy and advocacy agenda.

If you are interested in shaping the future of pharmacy services, please submit your expression of interest below.

We are looking for consumers with experience of pharmacy services in a variety of settings such as community pharmacy, primary care and other health services like hospitals, hospital in the home, and residential or community-based aged care.

The online focus group will be held on Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 1 May from 12:30 – 14:00 (AEST). Participants will be remunerated at the standard Commonwealth Remuneration Tribunal rate, currently $89.60 per hour.

The focus group will discuss:

  • Your experience, general perceptions and current use of pharmacy
  • Pharmacists working to their full scope of practice, and the kinds of models of care consumers would like to see pharmacists play a role
  • Developments that may have an impact on the future role of pharmacists.

No background reading or preparation is required. But, you may wish to have a look at Pharmacists in 2023 to familiarise yourself with the topic.

Please submit your expression of interest by Thursday 18 April at 09:00 (AEST). We expect to confirm the selected participants later the same week.

All expressions of interest will be assessed by an independent panel with an aim to get a diverse range of perspectives. We will keep the information provided in your expression of interest confidential and will only be shared with the PSA for the purposes of facilitating participation if selected.
