The Australian Teletrial Program Steering Committee is seeking two (2) consumer advisor nominations for the Australian Teletrial Program National Office Queensland Health.

The role

The ATP Steering Committee will guide and direct the activities of the Regional Clinical Trial Coordinating Centres (RCCCs) and partner jurisdictions. The Steering Committee will play a significant role in ensuring successful implementation of the Program.

Timeframes and commitment

Appointments are made for three years until 04 October 2026.  Meetings are held two twice a month face to face and online.

Remuneration

Consumer advisors will be remunerated for preparation for the meeting and attending meetings. 

Expressions of interest*

Expressions of interest for this role must include:

A consumer who

  • has participated in a clinical trial, or has had a close relative participate in a trial
  • are from rural, regional or remote areas who have had to navigate the health system and are advocates for healthcare being provided closer to home, or may come from ATSI and CALD communities
  • are in either Qld, Vic, Tas, NT, SA or WA
  • has knowledge of the health care system, for example, effective models of care, up-to-date evidence.
  • has connections to broader consumer and community networks, to share current users ‘experiences, wider than just their own personal experience.
  • has exemplary communication skills
  • have previous experience as a consumer representative

Consumer representatives may also be asked to take part in consumer projects as they relate to the Australian Teletrial Program.
