Steve Morris worked together with consumers on medicines
The Consumers Health Forum acknowledges and congratulates Adjunct Associate Professor Steve Morris for his role as CEO of NPS MedicineWise during a period of significant developments for consumers.
“We are sorry to hear Steve will be leaving NPS in July. His leadership has been invaluable in promoting the important links with consumers in quality use of medicines,” the CEO of CHF, Leanne Wells, said.
“Quality use of medicines is an important issue for consumers, and essential that we equip consumers with the best information, advice and services in this area.
“In that regard, we have valued Steve’s leadership on negotiating the Working Together Agreement with CHF to ensure there is strong consumer leadership and stewardship in the NPS MedicineWise’s' program of work.
“The Working Together agreement between CHF and NPS MedicineWise set out how CHF and NPS MedicineWise will work together to ensure consumers are at the centre of our efforts to achieve quality use of medicines and better health decision-making.
“More recently our two organisations have developed a consumer segmentation research project to identify and characterise key consumer segments as they relate to quality use of medicine health literacy to assist in future resource or program development.
“Steve Morris played a central role in these developments and we look forward to working with the incoming NPS leadership to continue our collaboration,”
“We wish Steve the very best for the next stage of his career,” Ms Wells said.
