The future of Australian healthcare is a key election issue for many Australians and one that can decide their vote. As part of our work, CHF has published a 2025 Federal Election Priorities document. This document includes key asks that we want the next Australian Government and Parliament to do to improve health outcomes for all Australians.
Our key asks were developed after consultation with our organisational Members and consumers. During the 2025 Federal Election campaign, CHF will be promoting this document to politicians, political candidates, the media and consumers.
We have invited politicians from across the political spectrum to provide a response to our key asks document. We will publish those responses on this page as we receive them.
The Prime Minister has called the election – we are heading to the polls on Saturday 3 May 2025.
Here at CHF, we are ready to continue our election campaigning advocating for Australians to have better access and affordability to healthcare and greater agency over their health.
Our election priorities document sets out the ways we believe the next Australian Government can help Australians better afford and access the care they need, while helping consumers have greater agency over their own health.
Between now and polling day, we will be getting our message out to political candidates to ensure the 48th Parliament delivers an A+ healthcare system to benefit all Australians.
