A key part of CHF’s advocacy is working with government to amplify the voices and concerns of consumers to bring about change in healthcare policy.
Our advocacy also has a focus on raising the health literacy of consumers so they are more aware of how the Australian healthcare system works and how they can benefit from it.
We believe that consumers should be engaged in the formation, implementation and evaluation of all health policy initiatives that impact them.
Some of the main ways we do this is by running consumer education on relevant issues on behalf of the Australian Government, writing policy submissions and participating in sector and public campaigns on issues impacting Australia's healthcare consumers.
