As part of CHF’s Strengthening Medicare contract funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC), 20,000 Australian adults will be surveyed between 2024 and 2027 about a variety of issues relating to their satisfaction with, and experiences of health care.
Responses to the surveys will help inform the implementation of DoHAC’s primary care reforms. CHF have been commissioned to undertake four, online, cross-sectional and nationally representative surveys of Australian adults.
Each survey will inform policy and service design decisions to improve the quality of primary care services. CHF previously conducted National Consumer Sentiment Survey in 2018 and 2021.
The objectives of the survey are to:
Improve understanding of the health system from a consumer point of view.
Inform better delivery and planning of healthcare services in our communities.
