On 27 August 2008, the Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) held a national consumer representative and stakeholder planning workshop to commence work on its Chronic Conditions Self Management 2008-2010 Project (the project). This project was funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing under the Australian Better Health Initiative.

On 27 August 2008, the Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) held a national consumer representative and stakeholder planning workshop to commence work on its Chronic Conditions Self Management 2008-2010 Project (the project). This project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing under the Australian Better Health Initiative. The workshop was attended by 21 consumer representatives, as well as six stakeholders from a range of organisations with an interest in the area.

Consumers Health Forum
Committee secretariats can often enhance the contribution of a consumer representative on a particular committee by thinking through ways to support his or her involvement. In 2003, the Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) and representatives of committee secretariats developed a checklist for how committees can support consumer representatives as part of a project funded by the Department of Health and Ageing. Although the checklist is not exhaustive, it provides some useful pointers. Small things often make a big difference!
